Ilissa Nelsen, a master tutor, has an M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University She studied Jewish Education and Administration during her undergraduate years at the University of Minnesota. She has taught Prek-12th Grades in Math, ELA, History and Science. Ilissa has also taught Hebrew and Judaic studies for 35 years. Ilissa enjoys teaching and loves making lessons as hands on as possible to address the different learning styles of her students.
Michelle Sohn is an enthusiastic educator from New York. Her background and experiences are varied and extensive from being a teacher for over 12 years in both New York and Florida and as a tutor. Her certifications include a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science, a Bachelor's Degree in English and Creative Writing, her teaching certificate is designated for pre-k-12th grade, she is Reading Endorsed, has TEFL Certification, and is certified as a public librarian in NY and FL.
Ms. Alexander brings to the table over 30 years of teaching experience to children, teens and adults. She retired out of Florida's public school system, and has been tutoring since 2017. Her masters degree is in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). She has taught English language learners in various programs and colleges in New York City, as well as in the Seychelle Islands and Florida. While working in public schools, she became certified in, and taught, three additional subjects: Reading, English and Spanish. Ms. Alexander also studied and worked in South American countries as a teen, young adult and most recently, from 2013 to 2016.
